Testimony: Live Logic

Support & frequently asked questions

Three to six people give testimony, one statement at a time. Each of them is either always truthful or always lying. Your job is to press the moment their statements can no longer all be true together.

The one thing worth knowing first

I pressed and lost. Nothing was wrong.

About one round in four never contradicts at all. In those rounds the correct move is to press nothing and let the round run out.

This is deliberate, and it is the reason there is no "press near the end" strategy — near the end is often exactly when nothing is wrong. If you press on every round you will lose most of them.

A contradiction appeared and then my press was still wrong.

A speaker can take back what they said. The moment they do, their earlier statement stops counting, so a contradiction can open and then close again. If you press after it closed, you were right about the wrong instant.

The review screen after each round shows exactly where those windows opened and closed.

Playing

How does the difficulty work?

It follows you. Win consistently and rounds get longer and less forgiving; struggle and they ease off. There is no difficulty menu because the game is already adjusting more precisely than a menu could.

Statements go by too fast.

Settings has a pace control with three positions. It changes how long each statement stays on screen and nothing else — the puzzles are identical at every setting, so a slower pace does not make the game easier to be right about, only easier to read.

Is anything on screen hinting at the answer?

No. Every statement looks the same, sounds the same and is timed the same way, whatever it does to the logic. If a round felt unfair, it was the reasoning that was hard — nothing was hidden from you.

What is the falling number on the review screen?

How many possible worlds were still standing after each statement. It is the game's real subject: 16, 8, 4, 2, 0 down the side of the screen is the possibility space closing.

Settings and devices

Vibration does not work on my iPhone.

This is a known platform limitation, not a fault in your device. The game runs in a web view, and iOS does not expose vibration to it. The setting is there because it is honoured on Android. Sound and everything else work normally on both.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. The game itself is entirely offline: every puzzle is generated on your device, and nothing about your play is sent anywhere. The only part that needs a connection is the optional advert you can watch in exchange for a hint. Offline you keep the hints you have earned by playing; you just cannot top them up.

Which languages are supported?

English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French and Russian. The game picks your device language on first launch; you can change it in Settings at any time.

Will I lose my progress?

Your level, best score and streak are stored on your device and survive closing the app, restarting the phone and updating the game. They are not backed up to any server, because the game has no server — so deleting the app deletes them.

Can I play in landscape?

No, and this is by design rather than an omission. The game shows a fixed number of statements on screen at once, and that count is an input to how the puzzles are built. Rotating the screen would quietly change the difficulty.

Hints

Where do hints come from?

You earn them by playing — reaching a new level and winning several rounds in a row both grant one. If you want another before you have earned it, you can watch a short advert instead. That is a choice, never a requirement: nothing in the game is locked behind an advert.

Why does no hint tell me who is lying?

Because that would be the answer, and handing it over would empty the round of the only thing in it. Hints buy you room rather than information: more time on a statement, the feed held still while you read, an extra life, a round skipped, a second chance after a wrong press. What is on screen still says exactly what it said before.

This is the same reason nothing in the live feed is ever marked or coloured by what it does to the logic. A game that quietly points at the answer is not one you can be proud of solving.

Privacy

We collect nothing: no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no server of ours to send anything to. Adverts are handled by a third party and only when you ask for one. Full detail is in the privacy policy.

Bug reports, questions and disagreements about a round that you are certain the game got wrong are all welcome — the last kind especially, since every round is generated and checked by a solver, and a genuine counterexample is worth hearing about.

Email burakgogcegoz@gmail.com. If you are reporting a round, the screenshot of the review screen is usually enough to reconstruct it.

Please include your device model and OS version. Replies usually take a few days — this is a one-person studio, not a support desk.
